The School District is governed by an elected five member Board of Education. Board members are elected for four-year terms. Board members are not paid for their services. The Board of Education employs a chief executive officer (Superintendent of Schools) to administer the affairs and the programs of the District.
Regular meetings are scheduled by the Board for receiving reports and updates about District operations and activities, completing duties as required by statute and policy, and adopting policies for governance of the District. Regular meetings are conducted on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Office, 57393 U.S. Highway
285, Bailey, Colorado, 80421. If the second Monday is a holiday, the monthly meeting is held on the third Monday of the month.
